The core professional standard zoom of the modern Leica SL system.
Announced in May 2021, the Vario-Elmarit-SL 24–70mm f/2.8 ASPH established itself as the everyday workhorse for SL photographers. Delivering consistent f/2.8 brightness across the entire focal range, it is significantly lighter and more compact than the massive 24–90mm f/2.8–4. With fast autofocus, silent stepper motor, and robust dust/splash sealing, it quickly became the best-selling standard zoom in the L-Mount ecosystem.
