First designed for screw mount in 1955 and subsequently produced in M mount, the Summaron 28mm f/5.6 is celebrated as the quintessential street photography pancake lens. Extending less than 2cm from the camera body, it allows effortless zone focusing with enormous depth of field. Its cult following is so fervent that Leica resurrected the exact 1955 optical calculation as an M-System Classic reissue in 2016.
