2025年1月於CES發布的SL3-S是SL3的速度導向版本。SL3主打6000萬像素高解析度，而SL3-S採用2400萬像素感測器，針對高感光度性能和高速連拍進行優化，5295美元的售價也是目前SL系列中最低的。
SL3-S延續了SL3的相位偵測自動對焦與L卡口，適合需要在新聞、體育或弱光環境下快速出圖的攝影師。這一「高解析度版+速度版」的雙線產品策略，與索尼A7R/A7、佳能R5/R6的思路如出一轍。
